- This fee is to cover the costs of processing the initial application.
- It is College policy that fees are paid in advance as outlined by the National ESOS Authority.
- Fee is refundable only if visa is refused (proof of visa refusal necessary).
Fee is not refundable if visa is refused due to the provision of fraudulent documentation.
- Student visa holders must have health cover for the total duration of their visa (OSHC organised by the College is through Allianz Global) www.oshcallianzassistance.com.au for the latest price.
- Payment covers 4 terms per year only. All boarders are expected to return home for vacation periods. A late fee of $50 per week is charged on any balances owing after the first week of term. If 12 weeks written notice for boarding withdrawal is not given as required, the student (or parent(s)/ legal guardian if the student is under 18), will be charged the following term's boarding fee.
- Payment covers 48 weeks homestay per year. The four weeks over Christmas will incur extra costs if the students are in residence. Homestay payment must be received before the first day of each term. A late fee of $50 per week is charged on any balances owing after the first week of term. A cancellation charge equal to two weeks accommodation fees will apply, if less than four weeks notice in writing is given, or if a placement has been made.
- No refund will be made if the student fails to notify the College of their flight details or any change of details two working days before arrival.
*All fees are quoted in Australian Dollars, are current at the time of printing and may be subject to change (please see our website for current fees). If the tuition fees are increased you will be required to pay the new fees as they are updated.
Tuition fees for the school year are charged in two (2) installment in January and July and are payable within 14 days of billing.
GST: Most of the College's fees and charges are not subject to the Goods and Services Tax [GST]. Any GST included in charges is specifically identified on the account when rendered.
Students will not be permitted to commence or continue their course at the beginning of any term until all outstanding fees, charges or accounts are paid. No certificates/reports will be issued where a student has an outstanding debt owing to the College

APPLICATION FEE
An amount of $175.00 to the College is payable on submission of a formal Application for Enrolment to the College. This fee is non-refundable and covers the administration costs associated with prospective enrolments and interviews.
CONFIRMATION OF ENROLMENT FEE
To confirm the offer of a place at the College, a confirmation fee must be paid. Where Confirmation of Enrolment is not received by the date identified, the College reserves the right to withdraw its offer of enrolment.
The current Confirmation of Enrolment Fee is $500.
This confirmation of enrolment fee is non-refundable including student enrolments that do not eventuate. The confirmation fee also provides JPC Alumni for Life Membership.
PAYMENT TERMS
Our payment terms are strictly 7 days from date of invoice, or in accordance with pre-approved instalment arrangements only. For further details please refer to the Fee Billing and Collection Policy.
PAYMENT OPTIONS
Payment options include Cheque, VISA, Mastercard, Direct Debit, BPay, EFTPOS, Diner's Club, American Express, Bank Deposit and via JPConnect.

OTHER PAYABLE FEES
The cost of the Mobile Device Program, subject resources and most day-to-day compulsory activities and excursions are included in tuition fees.
Year-level camps, and other significant year-level events (e.g. Year 12 Formal) are not included in the annual tuition fee and will be charged separately.
Where students choose to study Certificate II, III or IV courses, there may be additional costs charged by a third party.
ANNUAL DISCOUNT
An early payment discount of $500.00 is available if the full year’s fees are paid by no later than 31 January 2025 for domestic Prep to Year 12 students. This discount is not available in situations where other discounts are being applied to a student’s accounts.
SIBLING DISCOUNTS
For the purpose of the sibling discount, a sibling is defined as a biological child of one of the parents, a child by legal adoption, a child in long-term foster care under the direction of the relevant government authority, or by the marriage of the biological parent to a step-parent and living in the same household as other siblings.
A discount of 40% is applied for families with three or more siblings enrolled at the College. The fifth and subsequent children incur no additional school fees for larger families. The highest enrolled student fee, is classed as the first child, regardless of the order of enrolment. The College understands that families come in all shapes and sizes. Families with shared custody or other arrangements or combinations may apply for a determination in terms of the sibling discount arrangement.
The sibling discount is only available to Australian and New Zealand citizens, permanent residents and eligible visa holders.
MOBILE DEVICE PROGRAM
From Years 4 to 12, each student is required to participate in the College's Mobile Device Program. There is no separate fee for the Mobile Device Program.
The Mobile Computer Program provides the following benefits:
- a contemporary mobile computer fully programmed for use on student entry
- provision and installation of most software applications
- insurance cover at home and College [$100 excess payable in limited circumstances as per Mobile Computer Care Policy]
- 3-year manufacturer's warranty
- a comprehensive maintenance package with on-site technical support
STUDENTS LIVING AWAY FROM HOME
For those students who are living away from their families, John Paul College has its own Homestay and on-site Boarding Operation. Carefully selected families, often of past or present JPC students, act as Homestay parents for a student in a caring and nurturing environment. Students receive all meals. All Homestay parents in our Homestay Operation are required to hold Suitability Notices or blue cards under Australian law by The Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act (2000).
GENERAL CONDITIONS
Tuition fees are effective from 1 January each calendar year and will remain, until such time as they are changed by the Board of Directors.
While the Board of Directors aims to set fees on an annual basis, it reserves the right to change these at any time.
As specified in the enrolment agreement signed with the College, fees are due at the beginning of the period they cover and are payable in advance or by fortnightly instalment by direct bank debit.
STUDENT WITHDRAWALS
Both parents must give a minimum of one term's notice, in writing, to the College.
A term is a unit of academic time comprising a variable number of weeks in any given academic year as identified in the College calendar. There are 4 terms in each academic year.
Notice of intention to withdraw on the last day of term should be received by the Admissions Manager on the last day of the previous term. A term does not include school holiday time nor is it an equivalent number of weeks that traverses two terms.
If the Parents fail to give written notice of one term, as required, it is College policy that the parents will be charged for the subsequent term's fees.
