The Arts

From Year Seven, our students experience the joy of art, music, dance, drama and creativity,  relishing in the opportunities provided to them by experienced and innovative teachers who are passionate about arts education.

The Arts Faculty has a unique structure that works closely with our Co-curricular School of Performing Arts; together they have generated world-renowned Alumni including Dami Im (2005), Ballerina Lina Kim-Wheatstone (2007) and Theatrical Performer Loren Hunter (2008).

The Arts is a learning area that draws together related but distinct art forms. While these art forms have close relationships and are often used in interrelated ways, each involves different approaches to arts practices and critical and creative thinking that reflect distinct bodies of knowledge, understanding and skills. The curriculum examines past, current and emerging arts practices in each art form across a range of cultures and places.

The Arts department offers subjects in:

  • Dance
  • Drama
  • Music
  • Music Extension
  • Visual Art.

Walk of Fame Recipient, Alumnus Loren Hunter (2008)
