Introducing our Board Chair, Mr Dominic Taylor

Following the recent retirement of Mrs Helen Weissenberger as Chair of the John Paul College Ltd Board, we are pleased to announce that Mr Dominic Taylor was elected Board Chair at the first Board meeting after the 2020 Annual General Meeting.

Dominic was first elected to the Board as a Non-Executive Director in 2015 and has held several Board roles including Chair of the Community Engagement Committee, Chair of the Governance Committee and in 2019, he was elected Deputy Board Chair.

Dominic holds extensive business, strategic management and marketing experience across various industries, having held senior marketing and strategy roles at Tabcorp, QSuper, YourTown and Golden Casket Lottery Limited.

For the past three years, Dominic has been Strategic Projects Manager at Tabcorp within their Strategy Division - as a member of their innovative social enterprise, the Charitable Games team. This role allows him to work with hundreds of Australian charities and sports clubs, big and small, who are making a positive difference to the lives of others.

Dominic also currently is a board member of FIRST Service Inc. (a disability care provider) and is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

He is married to College Alumnus, Vanessa Taylor (nee Cano) and has two daughters at the College (Primary and Secondary School) both of whom started their JPC journeys in the College's Early Learning Centre.

Dominic holds a strong belief in the importance of providing a healthy and safe learning environment for students and staff and has a passion for sports and the creative and performing arts. He believes in enabling and encouraging all students to dream and strive for their academic, sporting and artistic goals to be the best they can be. Educating high quality, well-rounded graduates has always been inherent to the success of John Paul College and Dominic looks forward to the College continuing this enduring tradition.

We're excited to welcome Mr Dominic Taylor as our sixth Board Chair and look forward to his passion and leadership as we enter a new chapter as our JPC Family.

You'll see Dominic at our College events and he looks forward to meeting you all.
