Excellent Results

We wish to congratulate the graduating Class of 2021 on their excellent results. In the second year of the new Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and the Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR), and amongst a global pandemic, the John Paul College community should be proud of the achievements of our students.

ATAR Results

Under the new system, students have the option to withhold their results from the College. Therefore, the statistics below represent 77.2% of our ATAR-eligible students:

  • 4.5% of the Year Twelve cohort achieved an ATAR of 99 or above, placing them in the top 1% of the state (highest score of 99.90)
  • 22.52% of the Year Twelve cohort achieved an ATAR of 95 or above, placing them in the top 5% of the state
  • 37.84% of the Year Twelve cohort achieved an ATAR of 90 or above, placing them in the top 10% of the state
  • 70.27% of the Year Twelve cohort achieved an ATAR of 80 or above, placing them in the top 20% of the state
  • Eleven students will receive recognition from the Premier for achieving six A results.

Diplomas and Certificate Qualifications

Sixty-five of our students graduated with a VET qualification. Thirteen students graduated with a Diploma of Business. Students also earned Certificate II or III qualifications in a wide range of industries.

Pathways

John Paul College is an academically non-selective school that offers our diverse community of students an all-round holistic education and a range of pathways to tertiary study and other career paths. We are committed to personalising each student's learning journey and helping them discover their passions and strengths.

We wish the graduating Class of 2021 all the best in their future studies and endeavours.

We thank and acknowledge our dedicated teachers for their stewardship of our Seniors throughout their John Paul College journey and the challenging circumstances of 2021. Thank you to our parents and caregivers who worked in partnership with us during their student's schooling.
